Abstract Submission

Thank you for considering submission of an abstract for presentation at the Waste 2012 Conference.

Please note the following guidelines for abstract submission also apply to submissions for the presentation of a workshop at the conference.

Abstracts must be submitted by email by 5pm Friday 25 November 2011.

Please email abstracts to: waste2012@impactenviro.com.au.

Abstract submissions must be submitted in the following format:

• Microsoft Word (2003 or 2007) file (PDF files will not be accepted)

• Margins 2cm on all sides

• Headings and subheadings Arial 10pt bold font

• Body text Arial 10pt font

• All sections single line spacing, left aligned, no indents on paragraphs

• Dot points and numbered points may be used

• Graphs, photos and tables may be included only if absolutely necessary

Abstract submissions must include the following:

• Include full name, position and organisation of proposed presenter

• Include contact details (phone and email minimum) of proposed presenter

• Include short biography (75-100 words) of proposed presenter

• Include title (max 50 characters) of proposed presentation

• Include abstract (400-600 words) including purpose of the research/study/project, key findings, relevance to waste management and resource recovery in Australia and (if applicable), the practical solutions being provided

Non-conforming abstract submissions may not be considered.

Confirmed speakers will be required to register for the conference.  In appreciation of their contribution, conference speakers are able to attend the conference free of charge on the day of their presentation only.

Submission of a portrait photograph will be required approximately two months prior to the conference and PowerPoint presentations will be required several weeks prior to the conference.

Remember, the closing date for submission of Abstracts is Friday 25 November 2011!
