The Waste 2009 Conference will begin with a Welcome Reception in the exhibition area on the evening on Tuesday 31 March. This is a great opportunity to meet up with old acquintances, preview the exhibits and register early to avoid the morning rush. This is a casual networking event with drinks and fingerfood, and delegates will make their own arrangements for dinner.
The conference will kick off before 9am on Wednesday 1 April, with a solid program including plenary and concurrent sessions through to 4pm, where after a big day delegates will have a chance to enjoy networking activities before the Conference Dinner which will be held on-site.
Day two of the conference will be another big day covering a range of key issues, including a concurrent stream on waste education. The Conference BBQ that night offers delegates a chance to unwind and discuss the outcomes of the conference in a casual setting before making their journey home on Friday 3 April.
The conference program is designed around the main theme of 'innovative ideas creating practical solutions'. The diversity of issues is covered through the inclusion of several streamed sessions focussing on topic areas. Most of the presentations at this conference are limited to twenty minutes, which provides for more dynamic information exchange and allows more question time in the sessions.
