Greg Freeman, Director
Greg has a background in environmental health and established Impact Environmental Consulting in 1997. Prior to that he spent 15 years in Local Government in NSW. Greg's specialist skills are in waste management, strategic business development and environmental event management.
Within waste management Greg works on developing waste strategies, new contracts, waste education programs, community consultation and researching alternative waste treatment processes.

Lisa Brown

Lisa Brown, Manager, Contracts & Resource Recovery Projects
Lisa Brown has been working in the field of resource management for over seven years. During this time Lisa had provided expert advice to State and Local Government throughout Australia and New Zealand and private businesses including Sydney Airport. Lisa was recently awarded the prestigious Churchill Fellowship to study "Source Separated Food Organics Collection and Processing". Under this research fellowship Lisa studied organics management around the world, assessing the effectiveness of various policy and regulatory environments, processing technologies, collection systems and education programs, in achieving sustainable organics management. Lisa remains abreast of developments around the world, particularly relating to management of food and organic waste.
Lisa has been the lead consultant on over twenty procurement projects, many of which have culminated in the construction of large waste processing and recycling facilities using a range of technologies. She has developed several Business Cases and has designed a Full Cost Accounting model. She has authored Resource Management Strategies for a wide range of organisations including the North Coast Area Health Service and has presented at conferences in Australia and New Zealand on economics and resource recovery.
Lisa's training in economics enables her to assess and quantify all costs and benefits, environmental, social and financial, of various policy options to ensure the community's resources are allocated efficiently.
Lisa is the co-convenor of the Australian Waste & Recycling Expo.

Dawn Hallinan

Dawn Hallinan, Office Manager/Conference Coordinator
Dawn joined IEC in 2007 after 25 years in NSW local government. She has vast experience in administration and is IEC's office manager. Dawn has a Certificate IV in Business Administration and has completed a statement of attainment in Event Management. She works closely with the organisation and running of conferences.
Dawn also works in conjunction with Greg on the development and sales of IEC's range of children's environmental educational story/colouring in books.

Katherine Driscoll

Katherine has worked for IEC since 2007 in waste management consulting. During this time Katherine has managed tender processes for waste services including developing tender documents and specifications for waste, recycling and organics collection and processing services; both in rural and regional areas, as well as metropolitan parts of Australia.
Katherine understands all aspects of the tendering process and can take responsibility for the management of probity, tender period correspondence and the evaluation of submissions. Following the tender, Katherine can draft documents for contract engagement, together with developing contract management plans. Understanding the principles that guide procurement and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders and professionals, ensures Katherine will help deliver the project sought to be achieved.
An understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework governing waste operations and services, as well as a strategic approach to determine the procurement method, allows for the best possible outcomes to be achieved.
Katherine has developed Waste Strategies across NSW. Also, Katherine has conducted numerous full cost analyses of landfills and modelled business cases for various waste services. Feasibility assessments and options reviews have also been undertaken.

Sue's role with Impact Environmental is to assist her colleagues with the Conference and Event Management side of the business. Sue enjoys the daily challenges and excitement involved with running these events and the diversity that it presents. Sue works closely with exhibitors and sponsors to help them gain the best benefits from their participation.
Sue has had a long background in small business and knows what it takes to successfully market your brand whilst being mindful of the bottom line.
Sue loves the project management to create and develop upcoming events. She identifies the target audience, plans the logistics and co-ordinates technical aspects to enable a successful outcome for all.

Josh Hoole

Josh has joined the team at Impact Environmental after having worked for many years in the
legal profession as a solicitor helping deliver solutions across a variety of matters to clients
including advising small business and local government. Josh also has a strong background in the
interpretation of Environmental legislation and drafting of contracts and has training and experience
as an Environmental Scientist.
Josh has assisted proponents in industry ensuring that their environmental compliance, planning
and strategic goals are met. Josh has helped businesses that generate waste producing fixtures
to comply with their obligations under their Environmental Protection Licence and to meet their
environmental benchmarks and targets. In the capacity as Environmental Scientist, Josh has
experience in the drafting of documentation for the tender process in the waste management
industry.
With a strong interest and commitment to sustainable resource management and economic
development, Josh will be able to assist companies and small business in implementing sound
resource and waste management practices and facilitate the participation of programs encouraging
sustainability to increase environmental awareness and add business value.
