The Western Pacific Regional Branch of the International Geothermal Agency, and the Australian Geothermal Energy Group are proud to present this one day seminar by Cedric Malate of the Philippines National Oil Company.
The Philippines has a huge amount to teach us about practical geothermal reservoir management. They have an installed geothermal generation capacity of over 2000 MWe, second only to the USA. They have seven large projects operating, more than in any other country, some for in excess of 30 years. There is a vast wealth of practical operational experience, much of which is not published in the international literature.
This is a rare opportunity to tap into that expertise. A greater knowledge of the Philippine geothermal industry would also be of benefit to any Australian companies who are considering investment in geothermal projects in the Philippines.
Cedric Malate has a lifetime of experience in geothermal reservoir management and is intimately familiar with the history of geothermal development in the Philippines.
This seminar on 19 August is being organised in conjunction with the Australian Geothermal Energy Conference, which will be held at Rydges Hotel Melbourne on 20-22 August. Please note the seminar and conference are being held at different venues approximately 500m apart. Registration for the seminar can be made using the conference registration forms (hard copy or online) - please visit the ‘Registration’ page for details.
