Greg Freeman, Director Greg has a background in environmental health and established Impact Environmental Consulting in 1997. Prior to that he spent 15 years in Local Government in NSW. Greg's specialist skills are in waste management, strategic business development and environmental event management. Within waste management Greg works on developing waste strategies, new contracts, waste education programs, community consultation and researching alternative waste treatment processes. Jem Hansen, Manager, Education and Sustainability Projects Jem has been working for Impact Environmental since 2000. He has managed a variety of projects in the waste, sustainability and environmental education fields, working with government, business and community sectors. In the event management side of the business Jem has been involved in the planning and implementation of over 25 events aimed at improving environmental awareness and management, including most recently conferences on sustainable procurement, waste management, geothermal energy and environmental education. Jem serves on the National Executive Committee of the Australian Association for Environmental Education and is active in a number of local and regional professional and community environmental groups. Lisa Brown, Manager, Contracts & Resource Recovery Projects Lisa joined the Impact team in 2003. She has a background in Economics which has brought more of a ‘triple bottom line’ perspective to the way we operate. Lisa works primarily in the Waste Management field in areas such as Contract development, full cost accounting and Strategy development. Dawn Hallinan |
Dawn Hallinan, Office Manager/Conference Coordinator Dawn joined IEC in 2007 after 25 years in NSW local government. She has vast experience in administration and is IEC's office manager. Dawn has completed a statement of attainment in Event Management and works closely with the organisation and running of conferences. Dawn also works in conjunction with Greg on the development and sales of IEC's range of children's environmental educational story/colouring in books. Katherine Driscoll |
Katherine Driscoll, Consultant Katherine has worked for Impact since 2007 in waste management consultancy. Katherine has developed documentation for a variety of waste services and tenders. This can involve each step of the procurement process including tender documents, probity plans, evaluation of tender submissions, drafting contracts, reports to council and contract management plans. Economic analysis includes the development of business cases for waste services; full cost accounting of landfills; and, the assessment of market values for waste services. More recently, Katherine has drafted waste strategies for councils to support council’s integrated planning and reporting requirements. Katherine continues to assess the impact of the CPRS on the waste industry. Previously experience includes working for the NSW Treasury Corporation and in investment analysis and research for ASSIRT.
